FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Skin Pantry & Apothecary different?
We craft our products with food-grade, all-natural ingredients you can recognize and trust. If it’s not safe enough for your pantry, it doesn’t belong on your skin.

Are your products really food-grade?
Yes. We formulate using only food-grade oils, butters, and natural additives. While we don’t recommend eating your balm (tempting as it smells!), the purity standards are the same.

Do you use preservatives or synthetic ingredients?
Nope. Our products are free from synthetic preservatives, fillers, and artificial fragrances. We keep it simple, fresh, and clean.

Do you use bio-identical or lab-made essential oils?
Nope. Every essential oil we use is the real deal, either steam distilled or cold pressed from actual plants. Nothing synthetic, nothing lab-made. If it didn’t grow in the ground, it doesn’t go in our products.

How should I store my products?
Because they’re made with real, natural ingredients, we recommend storing them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain freshness and potency.

What’s the shelf life of your products?
Most of our products last 6-12 months depending on storage conditions. Always check the individual product label for specific shelf life guidance.

Is your packaging eco-friendly?
We prioritize sustainability by using recyclable, reusable, or compostable packaging whenever possible. Check each product page for specific packaging details.

Are your products safe for kids and during pregnancy?
Many of our products are gentle enough for the whole family. However, always check ingredient lists and consult your healthcare provider if pregnant, nursing, or using products on young children.

Do you test on animals?
Never. Our products are only tested on willing humans (like us and our families).

Where are your products made?
All products are handcrafted in small batches in Thompsons Station, Tennessee to ensure quality and freshness.

Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we ship within the United States. Stay tuned as we grow!

What’s your return policy?
Due to the nature of skincare products, we cannot accept returns. However, if there is an issue with your order, please reach out so we can make it right.
